Merve Ozdemir

Founder, Licensed Paralegal, Notary Public

Merve Ozdemir is the Founder of Unity Legal and Notary Services, where she provides accessible legal support across Ontario. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and certifications in Public Administration and Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Immigration Case Management. After completing the Paralegal program at Seneca College, she became a Licensed Paralegal in September 2023.

Currently pursuing her law degree at the University of Law (England), Merve aims to become a lawyer in Ontario, Canada. Combining legal expertise with empathy, she is dedicated to helping clients navigate complex legal issues with clarity and care. She is a proud member of the Ontario Paralegal Association and remains in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

Yaren Ezel Akkar

Law Clerk

Yaren earned her Bachelor of Paralegal Studies from Humber College and is a Paralegal Licensing Candidate with the Law Society of Ontario. She began her journey at Unity Legal and Notary Services as an intern and, upon completing her studies, transitioned into her current role as a Law Clerk. At the firm, she supports Landlord and Tenant Board and Provincial Offences matters with precision and care. Bilingual in Turkish and English, Yaren brings a multicultural perspective to her work. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with the University of London, further expanding her legal knowledge and strengthening her commitment to a meaningful career in the legal profession.

Eylül Bozkurt

Law Clerk

Eylul earned her Bachelor of Human Rights and Equity Studies from York University, where she focused her studies on social justice and equality. She will soon begin her LLB studies, further building on her passion for human rights and legal advocacy. As she transitions into this next phase of her career, Eylul is committed to using her legal education to challenge inequalities and advocate for meaningful reform.

Nesil Cakmak

Digital Marketing Specialist

Nesil has over 10 years of combined experience in conventional and digital marketing and has worked with both startups and global companies including Reckitt, KPMG, and HSBC. She is skilled in brand management, campaign planning, and customer segmentation, while also bringing expertise in digital marketing across content creation, social media, SEO, paid media, influencer collaborations, and performance analytics. In addition, she has hands-on experience in website design and development, ensuring user-friendly and visually engaging platforms that drive results. Passionate about storytelling, she focuses on transforming creative ideas into measurable outcomes. Nesil holds a postgraduate degree in Marketing Management – Digital Media from George Brown College, where she graduated with distinction on the Dean’s Honor List.

Nilgun Uzunhasanoglu

Accountant

Nilgun completed her degree in Economics at Karadeniz Technical University and later obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in Canada. She built a 15-year career in accounting and finance, holding management positions in both national and international companies, before establishing her own consulting firm in Toronto in 2016. As the first Turkish and English speaking woman to open a financial consultancy firm in Toronto, she provides accounting, tax, financial planning, and consulting services for individuals and corporations.
